Welcome to Summit Elementary School!
We are thrilled that you have joined our school family. Summit Elementary, Natrona County School District’s newest elementary school located at 2210 Waterford, on the east side of Casper, is the result of public input, best practices in education, and community partnerships. In response to the requests of Natrona County residents, Summit Elementary School is both an educational facility for children and a village center for community activities. It meets the technological needs of today's students and provide a learning environment for the changing needs of the future.
The creation of Summit Elementary was the result of hard work and dedication on the part of many invested community members, parents, their children and the Natrona County School District. It is founded upon guiding principles regarding instructional needs of children, leadership, the environment, opportunities for community partnerships, and a focus on the future. Our mission is to prepare children with the knowledge and skills needed to excel and lead in the 21st Century through a school culture that promotes wellness, academic excellence, curiosity and creativity.
Simply stated, Summit Elementary is not about the bricks and mortar of a new school. It’s about the children, their families and dedicated staff. The people make our school special. Summit staff members, in partnership with you, are committed to ensuring that your child is engaged in extraordinary learning opportunities that stir creativity, cultivate thinking, enhance physical and mental wellbeing and optimize his/her whole learning experience.
While in our care, we pledge to keep your child physically and emotionally safe. Students will participate in weekly cross-age community-building groups to enhance their sense of belonging. At Summit all will model high expectations for behavior and academics, optimizing learning opportunities for your child. Staff will keep abreast of his/her progress and frequently communicate with you. You and your family are your child's first teachers. Your expertise, insights and active involvement are critical as we work hand-in-hand to realize his/her fullest potential.
If you are currently not a member of our new school family, and perhaps want to learn more about our school , I encourage you to take the time to read about our educational programming. Information about our curriculum, guiding principles, goals, Q&A, etc. are located on this website. I would also be delighted to be of further assistance and can be reached at 307-253-3000.
